  • Overview

    Responsible for the management and development of a team of District Sales Managers at AmTrust Ag. Intensive interaction with DSM’s, prospective and contracted independent insurance producers required. Ability to communicate vision on how to use Federal crop insurance combined with private products available from AmTrust Ag. This is an outside sales position which will require extensive travel. Consistently delivers on AmTrust revenue goals and demonstrates a vision for sales success within our framework of corporate values. Duties include but are not limited to:


    • Executes territory marketing strategy to drive new business premium growth.
    • Sets appointments and conducts face to face meetings with independent insurance agencies through-out the assigned territory.
    • Actively participates in weekly sales calls, quarterly and annual sales team meetings.
    • Works closely with underwriting to monitor and follow-up on new business submissions and quoted accounts.
    • Performs on specific annual sales goals and revenue objectives.
    • Trains agents on our products, product mix appetite and use of online quoting tools.
    • Maintains an understanding of all AmTrust products, services and solutions and initiates discussions with other business units as appropriate.
    • Develops an annual business development strategy for the assigned territory.



    • Bachelor’s degree
    • A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records.
    • 5+ years of insurance sales, marketing or related field equivalent; multi-line sales insurance company sales experience preferred
    • Demonstrated success in a sales role; a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results in the crop insurance market.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas, trends, technical details, and sales techniques.
    • Handle multiple projects and have solid training, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrated success in a sales role; a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results in the crop insurance market.
    • Independent self-starter and ability to work remotely
    • Knowledge of the farm & ranch property and casualty insurance industry, its products and services
    • Competent in Microsoft Office products, CRM systems and efficient in email and internet applications.
    • Insurance designations a plus
    • Effectively manage and maintain peer and business relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust.


    Approximately 75% Travel using personal vehicle or rental vehicle; to include air travel, overnight stays in multiple locations within the region/territory.
