Nurse / Medical Assistant
CareHere is currently seeking a full time MA at our onsite medical clinic in the Kansas City, MO area for 40 hours per week - Monday 7:00am - 6:00pm, Tuesday 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Wednesday 7:00am - 7:00pm, Thursday 12:00pm - 5:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm, Saturday 8:00am - 11:00am.

We are looking for a passionate Medical Assistant who believes in putting their patients first and values the patient- relationship to help engage them in their health risks, goals, objectives and work collaboratively with the provider to engage the patient in maintaining or improving their health.
Greet patients upon entry to health center and respond to patient calls.
Schedule appointments for patients as needed and assist patients with electronic access.
Provide intake including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, waist circumference measurement, height, weight, chief complaint, medication reconciliation and health history.
Prepare patients for exam with provider.
Document data collection in the Electronic Health Record.
Assist the provider and/or other nursing staff with procedures.
Administer medications as ordered by provider.
Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use.
Collection and handling of laboratory specimens.
Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies.
Perform EKG’s and other in office patient testing as identified.
Reinforce patient education as directed by provider.
Coordination and tracking of referrals.
Assist with audits and regulatory functions.
Diploma and / or certification in Medical Assisting
Computer literacy, including with MS Office, electronic health records, internet, and mobile applications
A friendly personality with good people skills including team collaboration
2 years’ recent experience in Medical Assisting
Proficient phlebotomy skills
Current BLS CPR certification
