Job Description
As a member of the Kansas City Water team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: Performing a variety of routine technical tasks which should provide experience and familiarization with CDM Smith's engineering methods, practices, standards, and company programs. Applicant will use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under general supervision.

Applicant should expect to develop solutions to water and waste water treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, etc. through solid engineering designs to meet client project requirements. Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs. Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessary. Contribute to firm's Technical Knowledge Management (TKM) by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering. Experience: 1 year of related experience. Travel: Domestic and/or international travel may be required.  The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
