Cornerstones of Care has recently received Foster Care contracts in the state of Kansas and we are excited to fill these new job opportunities.
LOCATION: Kansas City, KS (2 open positions)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Manager, Family Support works under the direction of the Family Support Program Manager and is responsible for the supervision of the Family Support Specialists (FSS) providing support for relative/kin placements in addition to ensuring service compliance with contract/licensing/funding body and accreditation requirements. The Manager is responsible for assigning caseloads and home assessment and home study referrals. This position serves as on-going liaison between Cornerstones of Care and funding sources, maintaining adequate communication channels at all times to ensure that services remain flexible and creative in response to community needs. The manager is responsible for approving and signing outgoing documents generated by staff including court reports, social histories, case plans, etc. The Manager leads their team in acting as catalysts to facilitate and supply kin with resources and training to ensure successful placements. This position manages an allotted Service Budget for assigned team, and ensures that expenditures are within approved budget amounts. The Manager of Family Support actively participates in the planning, development, and on-going growth of the program and ensures that all requirements are met for auditing purposes, including that service providers are meeting contractual agreements with Cornerstones of Care. The Manager of Family Support must be accessible by phone after hours, holidays and weekends, when assigned as the on call supervisor and be willing to travel as the position requires.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other Human service related field and relevant work experience with children and families. Must be licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas. The preferred candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Must pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
PAY GRADE: 6
SALARY: $37,731.44 - $58,483.73 annually
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
