Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Responsibilities

Program Management Office (PMO) Project Manager

As a member of the PMO, you will be a part of a multi-disciplined team focused on the development and execution of projects to support the long-term goals of the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for NGIS and our Army customer. The PMO Project Managers are fast-paced individuals with challenging roles that are focused on NGIS's priorities and customers. This Project Manager position requires strong leadership, communication, and customer skills that allow the successful candidate to build relationships with other internal functional organizations and with our external customers.
The individual will be responsible for (a) project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout of projects, (b) architecting project proposals to meet customer and stakeholder needs, (c) delegating and negotiating new project proposals, and (d) delivering completed projects that meet the customer and NGIS requirements.
Specific responsibilities/experiences include, but are not limited to:
•Promoting NGIS's Vision, Values, and Goals
•Delivering Financial Performance by integrating Project financials with business objectives
oControl Costs
oManage Risk
oGenerate Sales
•Acting as the company customer interface and balancing the interests of the customer with the NGIS stakeholders
•Delivering excellence and continuous improvement
•Making data-based decisions



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
•Five years of Project Management in the Defense Industry (preferred)
•Program Management Certification (preferred)
•BS in Engineering or a related technical field
•Significant computer applications skills including proficiency with: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft SharePoint
•Presentation skills
•History of meeting and exceeding customer expectations
•Demonstrated ability to influence others to achieve goals in a Matrix Organization

Education Requirement:
4-yr. Technical or Business Degree.
Prefer: PMI Program Manager Certification or PMI Project Management Professional Certification
