    Who we want:

    SMG is looking for a product storyteller and go-to-market project manager—someone who can support strategies for new products, releases, and services and help develop clear commercialization actions + sales readiness plans. A critical member of the Marketing team, this role reports to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing and collaborates with a variety of internal teams and external agencies to commercialize products. The Product Marketing Manager will need to be adept at understanding all of the stages of launching new products and services (market position, product capabilities, promotion and launch tactics) and able to communicate, identify, and help develop the required assets and activities for successful launches.

    What you can expect in this role:

    This position involves a healthy mix of project management, marketing, and execution of tactics to support go-to-market launch plans (building internal + external presentations, creating messaging, developing sales training materials, identifying and developing assets for launches). Also market research and understanding competitive landscape (developing and maintaining a library of sales + product battle cards, working with industry analyst), developing and managing product marketing collateral (presentations, brochures, roadmaps, sales tools + pricing).

    You’ll help develop written briefs as input for creating new or updating existing collateral assets and support the management of SMG’s product marketing and commercialization process. You’ll partner cross-functionally with multiple teams in the organization and own and contribute to tactics for all product launches. We’ll look to you to project manage and support SMG’s internal product marketing, sales readiness, and the go-to-market launch process.


    What you’ll need to succeed:

    • At least 5 years’ experience in progressive marketing in a technical software field
    • Minimum of 3 years in product marketing or product management capacity
    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field
    • A demonstrated track record in effectively driving cross-functional teams to support successful product launches with measurable results
    • Exceptional project management and organization skills
    • Pragmatic product certification or equivalent
