What You'll Do
Under general supervision, the compensation analyst senior will contribute to compensation strategy and services at UMB through the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs. The analyst will possess a thorough understanding of the theories and principles of internal and external market analysis and have an understanding of the broader business implications of decisions.
The compensation analyst senior will support various departments and leadership at UMB through maintenance of job documentation, job market pricing, organizational design, incentive design, policy enhancement. Additionally, the compensation analyst senior is responsible for maintaining the compensation related data tables, processing controls, and audit reports to ensure data integrity within PeopleSoft. This includes, but is not limited to: position management maintenance, department tree maintenance, reporting relationship changes, job and/or position title maintenance, officer status maintenance, table maintenance (salary grades, job codes, variable pay, etc.) compensation rates, personnel data audits. The compensation analyst senior may administer any or all of the following programs: annual base pay review cycle, off-cycle base pay adjustments, annual sales and incentive compensation plan support (variable annual performance programs), Short Term and/or Long Term incentive programs, severance plan, Fair Labor Standards Act exemption testing, and other compensation programs, and conducts and/or participates in compensation surveys and the configuration and maintenance of third party software market pricing and survey repository tool.
